Prairie Bowl pair wins at Kansas BPA Pepsi Pins Over Average Tournament

For the second year in a row, a Prairie Bowl team has triumphed at the state level finals of the Kansas BPA Pepsi Pins Over Average Tournament. This years dynamic duo was Dan Wedel and Tony Foster. The pair locked up the championship at All-Star Lanes in Salina, Kan. on January 15, 2012 for the $5,000 first place prize. Congratulations guys! Way to represent!

Rolling Out a New High School Bowling Season!

The weather has changed and we all have made it through the turkey, football games and Black Friday shopping. That leaves one last bit of business before the end of the first semester of school. Yes, I am talking about High School Bowling Try-Outs. Prairie Bowl gets the honor of hosting two schools again this year with El Dorado High and Circle High calling us home. The rivalry continues with the two schools as they get to compete against each other twice this season. It is always fun to get the infusion of energy from the young talented bowlers into the center and I am sure this year should be no different. The tension of the bowlers vying for a spot on their respective teams is fun to watch. Which will emerge as the team leader? Who sneaks on the team with the last day heroics? Do we have a shot at State this season? These questions will be answered soon enough. It is a fast and furious season with highs and lows. Let me leave you with this… ARE YOU READY FOR SOME BOWLING?!?!?!

Pepsi Pins Over Average Doubles Tournament

Prairie Bowl is very excited to be hosting the Kansas Bowling Proprietors Pepsi Pins Over Average Doubles Tournament Regional round! We will have two exciting weekends, with two squads a day from Sat Dec 3 to Sun Dec 11. We are scheduled to have over 70 doubles teams competing for the top 32 spots in our region. We are hosts to last year’s champions and our bowlers here are very excited about participating. We expect some great scores and hope all of our out of town guests enjoy their trip to El Dorado. Scores will be posted on this website after each weekend, so keep checking on your place! And for those of you competing in this year’s Regional, GOOD LUCK!

While the number of 100º weather days disagree, we know that fall is right around the corner. That means it’s time to sign up for your favorite fall league at Prairie Bowl. Our website makes it easy!

Click on “Leagues” in the navigation bar. A list of league categories will drop down. Mouse over a category and you will see all the leagues in that category available for sign up. Click on a league name. You will be sent to a sign up page for that league. Fill out the form and click the “submit” button. That’s it! Be sure to note the meeting and starting date and time and we’ll see you there.

Welcome Augusta Bowlers

High School bowling tryouts are upon us! It is a very busy time for bowling centers and getting prepared for the kids is a welcome chore. But this season there is one team left without a home bowling center in which to tryout and bowl.

The Augusta Orioles bowling team found their host center was closing on very short notice, right as tryouts were beginning. As the news spread, it was apparent that the team was in real trouble. So, Prairie Bowl has stepped in and offered a place to host tryouts for the uprooted Augusta bowling team.

Prairie Bowl, currently the host center of Circle and El Dorado High Schools, is setting rivalries aside to help a fellow program in need. Anything that Prairie Bowl can do to assist this great sport will be done. We are always willing to lend a hand to the bowling community.
